Those wacky people at the conficker working group (or whatever they are called) led by Microsoft have come up with a quick way to see if your PC is likely infected with conficker - or indeed many other virus/worm/trojan infections. Using the fact that conficker like many other viruses block websites of premium antivirus makers the page links images from them and images from other non-AV related sites, if you can see the non-AV linked but not the AV linked chances are you got some kind of nasty on your system - cool, or not-cool if you have it :(
