Internet Explorer 8 Final goes final

IE8 final has been released amongst little fanfare, it's got some nice bits in and is reputed to be more secure (..laughs) obviously the new private browsing feature - already dubbed PornMode will have it's devotees and the accelerators (add-ons to you FireFox users) will bring added functionality to the megabloated browsing machine.

The GMAIL lager police

GMail has two features that you need - you need them because you are pathetic, emotional and rash (that's Human to you and me). Feature 1. Undo Send - gives you five seconds to change your mind after you click the send mail button. Doesn't sound like much but usually that feeling of dread when you decided to mail your boss as 'Dear cockmeister' is pretty instant. Feature 2. Mail Goggles - Before you can send mail late at night when you may be worse for wear the gmail interface will ask you to solve some simple questions and thus ensure that you are capable of thinking straight.

These features are under the Labs link in the gmail settings page, you will also find a gmail offline feature there which enables you to use gmail from a pc based client when you are not connected to the webternet.

New koobFace mainly ignored

A new koobface variant has been spreading through social networking sites using the usual tricks to get users to run a linked executable. Of course most people are not stupid enough to download and run the untrusted executable code ....
...but there's always a few, mentioning no names.
